The Possible Future of Education: An Invitation to Radically Dream

The Monterey County Office of Education invites all 21 CSLA Mid-State Collaborative teams to join us for an amazing opportunity for professional development. We have partnered with Dr. Jamila Dugan, co-author of "Street Data: A Next-Generation Model for Equity, Pedagogy, and School Transformation". Dr. Dugan will lead our COP in a four-part series entitled "The Possible Future of Education: An Invitation to Radically Dream". This series will launch at MCOE's 6th Annual ALL IN FOR EQUITY Conference on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Monterey Conference Center. The following three sessions will take place virtually. We hope that you will be able to join us a we will learn what it means to Radically Dream and then move into action.

Restorative Practices CoP
Kings County Office of Education

Description
Join our Restorative Practices Community of Practice series to promote transformative disciplinary approaches and implement alternatives to suspension. The series kicks off on April 2nd with a full-day session led by Marisol Rerucha, focusing on the foundations of restorative practices and shifting staff perceptions. On May 21st, an in-person workshop will provide space for reflection, problem-solving, and refining action plans. The final virtual session on June 4th will guide teams in developing school-wide strategies, clear roles, and actionable steps for alternatives such as conflict resolution, restorative circles, peer mediation, and re-entry support. Together, we aim to build a positive school culture centered on accountability, relationships, and student success
