The Possible Future of Education: An Invitation to Radically Dream

Description
The Monterey County Office of Education invites all 21 CSLA Mid-State Collaborative teams to join us for an amazing opportunity for professional development. We have partnered with Dr. Jamila Dugan, co-author of "Street Data: A Next-Generation Model for Equity, Pedagogy, and School Transformation". Dr. Dugan will lead our COP in a three-part series entitled "The Possible Future of Education: An Invitation to Radically Dream". This series will launch at MCOE's 6th Annual ALL IN FOR EQUITY Conference on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Monterey Conference Center. The February session will take place virtually and the June session will be in person. We hope that you will be able to join us a we will learn what it means to Radically Dream and then move into action.

● Use coaching tools, protocols, and language to support feedback conversations that accelerate teacher and staff development and ultimately lead to greater student learning outcomes ● Examine different styles and approaches to giving feedback ● Practice giving feedback in a variety of scenarios that drives growth and continuous learning ● Analyze formal and informal sources of data to monitor progress and determine next steps for development ● Practice delivering specific and actionable feedback and operating in a variety of scenarios Consider how to build habits of delivering effective feedback in order to build positive cultures of improvement across teams, schools, and departments Only regionally offered to Inyo and Mono counties.
