Daily Number Talks and Building Thinking Classrooms strategies to engage students in mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
Exploring practices that foster equitable participation and deeper understanding.
Connecting the California Mathematics Framework to your classroom instruction.
There will be 1.5 hours of asynchronous time.

Description
a collaborative learning series designed to bring together TK educators, instructional coaches, and support staff from across the county. Each session provides meaningful, practice-based learning around core elements of high-quality TK instruction, relationships, questioning, and instructional growth, with a balance of virtual and in-person meetings throughout the year. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, shared problem-solving, and connected conversations that strengthen instructional alignment and deepen developmentally appropriate practice across TK classrooms.

Supporting Multimodal Instruction, Learning, and Engagement in Science (SMILES) will focus on the implementation of the CA NGSS, Ambitious Science Teaching, and community-driven topics. We will aim to support all students--particularly unduplicated students--through practices that involve sense-making, visible thinking, and problem-solving in the classroom.
